BACS Market Sizing North America

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE

ASHB, in partnership with BSRIA and with the support of industry-leading companies, has undertaken a yearly Building Automation Control Systems (BACS) market sizing study. This project focuses on the total North American market, market forecast and trends, channels to market, installed value (products and associated labour), vertical segments, and the uptake of convergence vs. stand-along systems.

In addition, ASHB has established a quarterly top line data collection group to monitor changes in the quickly evolving BACS market. The group comprises ASHB key members, and delivers aggregated data to monitor general market trends. All three major components of “building automation products” are considered in the collection: (1) Software, including Supervisory software and Analytics and Energy/BEMS software; (2) Hardware — encompassing BAS protocol gateways and BAS network routers and BACnet SC hubs; and (3) Controls, which includes building controls, room controllers, and HVAC field-level controllers.

BSRIA Ltd. (or Building Services Research and Information Association) is an ISO 9001 Registered test, instruments, research and consultancy organisation, providing specialist services in construction and building services. Through independent, authoritative studies, BSRIA has been a market intelligence leader for over 30 years. More about BSRIA.
