Notably, it forecasts that by 2050, about half of EU households will generate renewable energy, facilitated by affordable PV and increased electric vehicle integration into the grid, with a significant portion of charging occurring at home. The report discusses barriers to adoption, including infrastructure capacity, lack of incentives, and limited awareness among citizens and occupants.
