This report exemplifies the application of real-time data using remote sensors in the Great Lakes region (US & Canada) for the purpose of monitoring water quality in water bodies. It is discussed how the concept of smart infrastructure is evolving as cities and utilities rely on this type of technology to better design and maintain public infrastructure.
