This September 2019 report from the US Green Building Council assesses zero energy (ZE)upfront building costs, model performance and life-cycle costs in Massachusetts. Many types of ZE buildings can be built with no additional upfront costs and some can see return on investment in as little as one year. Recommendations on how to further advance ZE building policy are provided. This paper is relevant for investment/financing, government, commercial/multi-family construction and business leaders.
