This white paper was completed in March 2015 by Siemens. It outlines the benefits of data-driven facilities (smart buildings) which are fully connected. The basics behind data-driven facilities, including: a strong BAS, use of big data, smart software, and software platforms, are detailed. Finally, several steps are given for managers to begin turning facilities into buildings with higher operational value, and turning their businesses into organizations with higher valuation.
