This paper was published in 2016 by the Smart Cities Council in collaboration with the ICMA. It presents the results of a survey of U.S. local governments regarding their activities and priorities related to smart-city technologies. Insight into the key motivators and barriers to smart city adoption and improvement are presented according to the surveyedgovernments.
