CABA Research Spotlight: Three Landmark Projects for an Unprecedented Era

By August 6, 2020 October 9th, 2020 No Comments

For over 30 years, ASHB has been a leading organization for the connected home and intelligent building technologies market. It is a mission that’s even more relevant now, with a pandemic that has fundamentally reshaped expectations around homes, buildings and workplaces.

This ASHB Landmark Research project will provide actionable information on how building technologies can be leveraged to create safer, healthier and more productive work environments in buildings post COVID-19. The fifteen (15) organizations shown below, all ASHB members, have now joined “Intelligent Buildings and COVID-19” as funders, and the first Steering Committee will be held August 12, 2020.

Connected home technologies are also top of mind today, and six (6) ASHB members have now joined ASHB’s “Privacy and Cybersecurity in the Connected Home, ” project. The research director for one of those organizations, the Consumer Technology Association, noted: “What we like about ASHB’s research approach is that through the lens of these Landmark studies, they take a long hard look at these subjects, with a great deal of in-depth analysis. There’s tremendous value for your sponsorship dollar and we’ve been a repeat custom of these landmark studies over many years.” View this link to learn more.

The COVID era also drives home the importance of intelligent and efficient energy management systems. The ASHB research project “Intelligent Building Energy Management Systems” has attracted 19 funders, all ASHB members. Andrew Wale of Legrand noted: “Electronic energy management has been a key market dynamic for us. And as we are now seeing the integration of what were in the past disparate building systems, we are very keen to be involved in this research to get an insight into how energy management is going to develop inside of these intelligent buildings going forward.” View this link to learn more about this project and see the funding organizations’ logos below.

Finally, you should be aware that the ASHB Research Library remains the #1 resource for research on the “intelligent buildings and connected homes” industry, with nearly 1,500+ reports and white papers that have been peer-reviewed by industry experts. The members’ area of the library requires a subscription, but the public area is open to anyone.
