This report covers utility demand response (DR) programs in the U.S. Using the results of a survey representing 64% of total U.S. customer accounts, the report analysez demand respond data from mass market (residential + small businesses) as well as commercial and industrial markets. The analysis describes policy work being developed countrywide and DR market trends related to each type of existing DR programs. Challenges and opportunities for utilities such as energy storage, electric vehicles and demand flexibilty for smart homes are discussed.
