Heat pump installations increased by 18% in 2019 and 2020, then surged by 52% in 2021 and 2022. This growth rate can be sustained through 2030 if the following challenges are addressed: expanding the market from new construction to existing houses with gas furnaces, improving and establishing new channels for distributing and installing heat pumps, and ensuring sufficient capacity in the supply chain and the availability of installers. In general, the industry, governments, and the energy sector are meeting these challenges.
