This report was published in August 2020 by the U.S. Department of Energy. It presents the results of a literature review regarding test methods for evaluating occupancy-sensor performance and categorizes those methods according to which spatio-temporal properties they were able to discern.  The reviewed articles are representative of research published over the past 20 years. The report offers a technical discussion of the methods as well as suggestions for future test-method development.
